6U is an instructional league for girls between the ages of 4 and 6 years old. This is a tee-ball, so all girls will hit from a tee at the beginning of the season. As the season progress, coaches will pitch to the girls to help them prepare for the transition to 8U softball. Girls will learn the fundamentals of the game (outs, runs, etc.) and the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running while having fun with their friends.
Players should have their own glove and bat. Coaches will be supplied with batting helmets, but most players will use their own helmet. Cleats, batting gloves, heart guards, and face guards are recommended.
In this initial season, all games will be played against other FRAA 6U teams.
